Bukana: Bestiary: Tiburones

Here's my take on the tiburones, a flying shark with crushing jaws, razor-sharp teeth, and the ability to circle their prey from the air. The word for the beast in most English translations of the Ibalon is "tiburon," which is Spanish for "shark" (Triburon). These creatures are referred to as Pating na Pakpakan in Bikol. They were subdued by the warrior-hero Handyong in the Ibalon epic.
